Vets tonight Empty
PostSubject: Vets tonight   Vets tonight EmptyFri 13 Oct 2017, 9:10 pm

Reuben went to the vets tonight for this booster. He weighed in at 20kg and got a full health check and all OK

It was also a very sad visit for other reasons. As I arrived some guy ran out of the vets screaming and crying and hurling abuse at the staff carrying his dog in his arms and I assumed they had refused to treat the dog with what he was saying.
I got chatting to someone in the waiting room who actually told me his dog was dead but that was all he knew and that the police had been called.
I went in with the vet a couple of minutes later when all hell let loose. This guy came back and had obviously gone into a treatment room and got into the back area. He was screaming, shouting, hurling abuse, threatening the vet, kicking items around but crying bring him back constantly, it was so awful and upsetting to hear.
The vet explained to me that his dog had been very poorly and they had rung him this morning to explain the situation and he agreed for her to be euthanised. However, when he went to collect her he didn't realise she had been put to sleep and said he never agreed to it and wanted them to bring her back.
I think he may have had a mental health issue and sadly he left before the police arrived which was a shame as I really do think he needed help. Poor man
