Thanks Jo. I've not received a message saying you've responded to my post? Is the forum not working?

No, I'm thinking I put a message in my spam by mistake the other day so maybe it's my fault. Damn iPad!

I went round to walk Alfie yesterday afternoon and took Ruby with me. He was so upset that we'd dared go in the house that he sulked and wouldn't come out for walkies. Not sure how to get him out of this sulkiness? Any ideas anyone - apart from food, he doesn't fall for that!

Nope, I've tried to get him to play on our walks and he is just not interested so other than dragging him out of the door I can't think of anything .......

Could there be a medical reason why he does not want to walk?

Just a thought perhap.s get the owner to meet you at the gate, with alfie already on the lead and ready to go, then lots of come on lets go excitment and just take the lead from the owner and it might just work

No health reasons that I know of, he's very sprightly for 9 years old.  And I'd like to try your suggestion Allie but she struggles to get out of her chair (she's disabled) so by the time she would have got to the gate walking time would be over.

I think he's just being a stubborn Jack Russell at the moment, he goes through phases like this.  So I just sit and stroke him and chat to Imogen (his owner).

He'll come to in his own time spinner smile

And thanks for your suggestions.
