THE BALLAD OF THE STAFFORD

Now,i am a staffordshire bull terrier,
my legs are not that of a dane.
but my smile is as wide,as an elephants hide,
and you'll seldom here me complain.

I am built like arnold the schwartznegger,
with muscles right up to me ears,
i can make ya leg's fail,with one flick of me tail,
yet my soft heart can lure you to tears.

I am bold without being obnoctious,
quite brave when i need to defend.
But there's nothing as sure "and ive said so before",
what i'm best at is being a friend.

I like playing at tug with the others,
i can bowl em about wiv me head.
but when the playing is done and ive had all me fun,
i'm content just to lie on me bed.

Some folk's say that we are "unpredictable",
and not to be trusted at all,
but "DONT" join the band,weve got on the "WRONG" hand's,
and that isnt our fault at all.

So the next time you here someone saying,
that staffordshires ought to be banned.
just remember one thing,as the verbals they sling,
reputations ALL come secondhand.
