PostSubject: Vets tonight   Vets tonight EmptyMon 14 Sep 2015, 1:35 pm

Taking Enzo to the vets tonight as he was sick again last night.
Every time he's sick he is bringing up bright yellow bile so he is digesting his food.
I've been googling and think it could be liver or kidney related.
I'm worried :(

I'm such a worrier! Lol
Vet couldn't find anything wrong with him.
He has lost weight though which he was concerned about so we have to up his food. As I changed to Burns about 2 months ago he said that maybe it isn't as calorific as the previous food.
He has been prescribed anti acid tablets to decrease the amount of acid being produced in his tummy as I mentioned the bile.
But he thinks that Enzo may be hungry which is causing the sickness so an evening meal or increased food might help.
Going back in a weeks time, if no improvement he will take blood tests.

How often do you feed him? Fingers crossed he stops being sick now

I always thought bile meant it was an empty tummy? Why did you make the change to burns, was it due to his eyes

I feed him at 7 am and 5 pm.
Yes bile is an empty tummy so he's producing acid which is making him sick so he's got anti acid tablets.
He doesn't eat grass no. His meals don't effect him, he's sick at night/early morning but it was always after a day when he'd been given treats so I was putting it down to that. He had sardines on Sunday and then was sick in the night but only bringing up bile.

I think the treats he was getting were reacting to the acid in his tummy

He's been fine since the vets.

I've given him some treats tonight with his acid tablet he has to take 1 a day. So we will see whether the treat settles ok with him

He was sick in the night. He only had 2 treats which are the size of a 20p!
He has a follow up appointment on Monday.

My friend from work gave me some puppy milk biscuits for Enzo to try, they are only small and as they are for puppies she said they might be more gentle on his tummy.
I gave him 2 yesterday and last night he was fine!

So far so good.

I'm thinking of putting his check up appointment back another week to give more time to see how he goes.

He had a lick of peanut butter today and two more puppy milk treats. So I want to see how he is over night and if ok will cancel his appointment and rebook for next Monday
