Diesel - Stitches Come Out Tonight

Not really looking forward to tonight - just hope the removal of Diesel's stitches go well without too much yelping.

Diesel doesn't have a high pain threshold, and his stitches do look tight - just hope all is good.

Diesel is been naughty, and he has licked his leg a few times!!

Well..... the vet would like to keep them in for another week - so it's next Thursday

The cancer results came back and there are no further signs of cancer in any of the tissue taken

Great news and we are both relived.

Just need to hope Diesel leaves his stitches alone until then xx

Oh dear - the stitches never came out :-(

The vet wants to leave them in for another week, so we have to take him back on Friday xx

So pleased re the results :)

Hi Martin, no need to apologise.

Diesel has a lump on his hind leg which was cancerous, so they had to remove that, which is where those stitches are (they are been removed on Friday)
Diesel did manage to remove one stitch and as he had licked his wound, the vet placed Diesel on anti biotics as the skin did look sore. The leg looks so much better today.

Diesel also had an enlarged prostate, we noticed that when he wee'd he would dribble so we thought this was a sign of the prostate been enlarged (which tests proved to be the case) So, Diesel had to be neutered to allow the prostate to shrink naturally as testosterone is one cause for the prostate to be enlarged.

Diesel has recovered well from the neutering and will go back in one month to see if the prostate has started to reduce in size xx

no way totally missed this hope diesel has a speedy recovery from both problems Suzie & the prostate gos down properly

Diesel is making a good recovery - seems to have turned that corner now.

We need to keep an eye on his leg as his hind hock is not as stable as it should be due to an old injury, so lots of gentle walks for him over next few weeks

He is allowed off lead, but not allowed to charge about xx
