| everyone for your nice comments Am a bit gutted today as i took them all in the field last night and a woman and her mother were waiting for mum and i when we came out the field. She has the house next to the gate and owns a Rottie who lives outside 24/7 and is NEVER walked. She kindly informed me we were not aloud to walk our dogs in there and that she herself isn't aloud - i have found out its rubbish as a new farmer owns the field so plan on asking his permission this week. She said that she is woried as her dog now jumps out her pen and can jump in to the field that should she do it when my lot are in there there may be a fight. Now although i held my mouth i did want to say well perhaps if you walked your dog and treated it properly as well as had a fence and area for her that was more suitable then she would not have these issues. - But i kept quiet and just thanked her for the information Now i am faced with the dilemma - if i do get permission do i continue to walk around the field and use it as a short cut to the other fields at the back of my house where i can walk my dogs or do i just not go back in there for fear of her out of control dog getting out and causing a fight with my three Anyone ?

| i dont know what to say julie to be honest i think i would be avoiding it especially as you have the three and no doubt will be blamed if anything does happen if you gte permission could you just mention to the lady that the dogs are allowed on there after all and if she could be kind enough to make sure her dog is up safe whilst your out with yours and vice versa i no your dogs are ok hun im just thinking of a polite way of putting it for her xx | |

| What an awful situation to be in Julie.
I think you need to speak to her and tell her it is not acceptable that her dog may get in there and cause a fight, she needs to be more responsible and ensure that it does not get out either by putting up a fence or keeping it somewhere secure. If she completely dismisses your requests then I would maybe have a chat with the dog warden and ask his/her advise. When I walk to our local fields at night I am always on the lookout for a dog that roams free that does not like some dogs, which includes Reuben and I do not relax until I get to the fields. It is not nice not being able to relax when walking and it will spoil your time with the dogs if you cannot relax so unless you say something to her and get some assuraties from her then I would really consider whether you want that stress every day. | |
