| My friend recently lost her beloved rottie Bess but has decided to adopt a rescue from a shelter in Spain where she volunteers when she goes abroad. However, Max is reactive to other dogs but has walked well with Belle whenever he has met her. The dog she is rescuing is a 10month old female small cross breed. So we decided today that we would walk Max and Belle and then go back to her house and see how they were together. They spent almost two hours together in my friends garden and played together quite a lot, it was great to see and has put my friend at ease about introducing him to another female. They had a small altercation when they started to play tuggie with a toy rope which was probably a bit too much too soon, it was instigated by Max and Belle did react a little but they were quickly separated and we left them together in the garden but called time out on playing. We are going to do more regular walks to get Max used to another dog and the I will hopefully take some time of work in October when Sophie arrives in the UK to help my friend introduce them This is Sophie | |

| How cute is she :). Great that you're helping your friend, it makes the world of difference to have someone willing to help you when you have a reactive dog | |

| Thanks, it's only because Belle is so good that we are able to do it.
Max used to get on well with Reuben as they grew up together but their relationship is a bit strained now | |

| We spent sometime at my friends again today. Max was a bit grumpy as it was very wam todayand he just wanted to lie in the shade under the trees. My friends rescue dog has travelled from Spain and arrived in Ireland today. She will stay in Ireland for a couple of weeks as my friend goes away for a few days and when she is back from her break Sophie wil travel from ireland to the UK

| Really well. She's extremely nervous of everything but has instigated play with Max today. I think it will take her a long time to settle. She's approx one year old and was dumped at the shelter with two puppies (not hers). The guy claimed he had found them. She was petrified at the shelter and did not come out of her cage for days. We think the first experience of a house she had was when she travelled to Ireland.
