Scratched nose Empty
PostSubject: Scratched nose   Scratched nose EmptyMon 21 Oct 2013, 8:12 pm

Enzo has a tiny scratch on his nose, not the very end of his nose, it's more on his muzzle, will see if I have a pic.
But he's had it for months, as soon as it heels he scratches it again and knocks the scab off and makes it bleed again.
I've been putting savlon on it and the next day it's heeled but then a few days later he scratches it again.

Any ideas what I could do?

Try sudocrem rather than savlon, it acts like a barrier cream whilst cuts repair themselves.

Savlon is a tad too strong for dogs according to my vets but they recommend sudocrem

Oh cool I've got some of that.

The rain seems to be tickling his nose making him scratch it too. I just want it gone now.

I'll try sudocrem, thanks

Cody has lots of scratches on his face (from itching and scratching) and I use sudocreme and it works really well so give it a try.
