| Ive got a lot of breed experience and rescued Staffs before.
Ive shown an interest in re-homing a 3 leg staff - 1 front leg missing. Not even got the go ahead yet very early doors but in preperation just wondered if anyone else has a 3 leg staff and any tips or advice.
I will keep you all updated on our journey.
Thanks | |

| Hiya
I have not personally rescued one but did help one to find a home. Buster copes very well with only 3 legs and it does not stop him from walking, running etc.
They did buy him raised bowls to make it easier for him to eat as he is unsteady when he tries to bend over but other than that he is just like any other dog.
I am not sure how long they walk him, and whether he tires more quickly than a dog with 4 legs, I suppose each dog is different and you will find out when he comes home.
Do you mind me asking where you are adopting him from? I am local to you in Stalybridge x

| He's a gorgeous boy. Looks to me like he leads a pretty normal life, dogs are amazing they adapt so well. Best of luck with your application | |

He really is lovely and sounds like he has all the great staffy traits.

| That is a real shame, I do think dogs and cats can adapt to each other. I have always had cats and adopted older dogs and they have all got on, some took longer than others but it was never really a problem.
Have you had a look at Tameside Animal Shelter?

| Ive not had a Staffie for 2 yrs now and wasnt going to have another one because I was so broken hearted putting my last one to sleep but just cant have a staffie free home any more. I have a real soft spot for the neglected/abused/hard to home ones. Ive also been trying to find out about this one: http://www.leighjournal.co.uk/news/9553458.Emaciated_bull_terrier_found_in_Leigh/Now Im in the mindset to get another one I will be looking everywhere | |

| I read that story, absoloutely shocking! Take a look at this link, both looking for their forever homes. Bruno was rescued from the pound where he was due to be put to sleep. Sadly he is one of the longest serving residents at the shelter :-( https://staffiezone.forumotion.com/t15771-rescue-today | |
