Slug went to her forever home yesterday...

So I went to give her one last walk...so here are a few photos...I cried my eyes out when I handed her over to her new owners...The tears were rolling from my eyes and she was giving me the biggest kisses! So I told her I loved her and I had to walk away at that point. I really am going to miss this girl, she is such a babe!!



















A few hours after she was home, her new owner emailed me to say she was brilliant in the car and has come out of herself already as she was a very timid girl in the kennels and only really bonded with me.

Thats such good news, I am really pleased she has found her forever home. She is a stunning girl and it is so easy to get attached isn't it. Is the owner going to stay in touch?

I know when I worked at the kennels there were lots of tears when the dogs were rehomed, it is hard not to get attached no matter how hard you try

That's great news for Slug

It must be so hard when one really captures your heart - you know they are going on to a positive new start - but it must be so difficult to say goodbye.

Slug is the only one where I have really cried when handing them over to their new owners...but in my heart of hearts, had deano been a normal dog, I would have had her...

least you know she is in a home where she will be taken care of now
