my brothers girlfriend has bought a blue staffy pup - Lola, she is gorgeous. I will get some pics on later.

My fella refused to come and have a look at her when she came to visit me, but he did in the end.

I asked him if I could have one But he refused outright....

Later that night he was talking about his bikes for once, saying u gotta admit its gorgeous isnt it.... so my reply was, Lola is better.

He said, if u really want one, get one

After a while, I did decide against it.

I said Id never have another pup, I wana go for older rescue dogs, but her smell, her cute little blue eyebrows,

Why do people do this to me

I did say, if one was abandoned on my doorstep Id definitly take him/her in though, but no one has got the hint yet

hehe, Id be the same with a brindle one, white one, red one.

keep in regular touch with all the rescue centres you are willing to travel too, Staffie litters are pretty common, we've had 4 sets of pups in this year already, all of them too young to be adopted when they arrive, and yes, a couple of blue ones too.

Sadly I think there will be and more and more blues in rescue soon.

Once you get the bug ... it doesn't go away

I really WANT to refuse buying a pup just because there is no need to breeed, and whilst I buy and others, the breeders will continue to breed.

I dont know if Id want a pup but its the smell, their so cute, but my house is pass the getting wrecked stage now lol, been there, done that.

I did say if they go away or anything, send her to me to babysit

I was offered a pup the other day, it was so difficult saying no thanks!

Because I live with my parents it wouldn't be fair as they would be looking after it more than me when im at work.

I usually just think about how difficult it was when enzo was a pup and that usually makes it easier saying no lol.

If I did get another staffie it would have to be a rescue! And that would only be if I won the lottery and didnt have to work so I could devote all my time to it.

don't forget fostering is also an option, the first 6 months of a puppies life basically defines how it will react to the world as an adult. So a puppyhood spent in rescue isn't a good blue print for a happy adaptive adult, but, if fostered then an enriched puppyhood with training, boundaries and guidence will see that dog eventually adopted out much less likely to be returned!

I see where you are coming form though because if we ever had another one i would rescue if the kids were older :)

But fostering is definitely worth a look into but i bet you wouldnt be able to resist
